Christmas Celebrations at School

24 декабря ученики 7-А и 7-Б классов приняли участие в празднике "Рождество в Великобритании".  

Ребята читали стихи и пели рождественские песни, разыгрывали сценки из истории Рождества, танцевали, веселились. Все прекрасно провели время!

On December, 24 pupils of the 7A and 7B forms participated in the party "Christmas in Great Britain".

                                                                 

 They recited poems and sang Christmas songs as well as performed some scenes from the history of Christmas.

 All the pupils had a lot of fun!

The Third All-Ukrainian Competition on the English Language “Greenwich - 2012” – III Всеукраинский конкурс по английскому языку „Гринвич – 2012”

12 декабря 2012 года 30 моих учеников 4-А, 4-Г, 7-Б и 11-А классов приняли участие в III Всеукраинском конкурсе по английскому языку «Гринвич - 2012».

 Ученики с нетерпением ожидали этого события. Все справились с заданием. Будем ждать результатов конкурса!

On the 12^th of December 2012 thirty of my students of forms 4A, 4G, 7B and 11A participated in the III All-Ukrainian Competition on the English Language “Greenwich – 2012”.

Twenty-one pupils of Lviv secondary school 45 ( forms 4A, 4G, 7B and 11A) took part in the cooperative writing project "A Day in the Life of Ukraine 3" on November 1, 2012 and twenty of them  became finalists. Well done!

A Demonstration Lesson - Открытый урок

A Demonstration Lesson "Mass Media. Advertising. Advertising Slogans." - Открытый урок «Средства массовой информации. Реклама. Рекламные слоганы.»  

15 ноября 2012 года в рамках семинара "Развитие критического мышления учеников на уроках английского языка", проведённого на кафедре иностранных языков Львовской ССЗШ № 45, я подготовила доклад "Использование мультимедийный технологий для развития критического мышления учеников на уроках английского языка", а также провела открытый урок по английскому языку "Средства массовой информации. Реклама. Рекламные слоганы."  в 11-А классе. 

Учащиеся обсудили прочитанный и прослушанный тексты о средствах массовой информации, высказав свое мнение по данной теме; показали видео фрагменты своей любимой рекламы, объяснив, почему они их выбрали, а также  выполнили ряд заданий, используя MulitRom.

 

В конце урока ученики (в группах) выполняли и представляли свои творческие работы – придуманные слоганы к рекламе любимых продуктов.

Competition - Конкурс

       Twenty-one pupils of forms 4A, 4G, 7V and 11A participated in the cooperative writing project "A Day in the Life of Ukraine 3". They wrote their stories and poems about one day in their lives. 
       Now we are waiting for the results of the competition...

The Project

The concept of A Day in the Life of Ukraine is very simple.
On December 13, 2011, people who were in Ukraine wrote about their lives.
On May 5, 2012, they did it again!
On both occasions, these pieces of writing were shared, allowing people in Ukraine and abroad insight into the rich social landscape that makes up this country.

This fall, we will continue the project: November 1, 2012 will be the third ‘Day in the Life of Ukraine’.
It is our hope that this project will encourage greater understanding of what it means to live in Ukraine today, both among Ukrainians and among all those seeking a greater global understanding. Ukraine is a country full of differences, but the celebration of these differences also allows the opportunity for shared strength.

 

Get Involved!

If you are in Ukraine on November 1, 2012, you are invited to participate. Ukrainians, foreign citizens, children, adults… all are welcome!

1. On November 1, 2012, write a piece that shares your experience of that day. The writing must be in English, true, and your original work. However, this piece of writing may take any form– an essay, a poem, a letter, whatever.
2. Submit your piece by November 8, 2012, following the SPECIFICS instructions below, to adayinthelifeofukraine@gmail.com.
3. The best pieces will be published and shared, and authors will receive electronic certificates.
