Christmas Celebrations at School
24 декабря ученики 7-А и 7-Б классов приняли участие в празднике "Рождество в Великобритании".
Ребята читали стихи и пели рождественские песни, разыгрывали сценки из истории Рождества, танцевали, веселились. Все прекрасно провели время!
On December, 24 pupils of the 7A and 7B forms participated in the party "Christmas in Great Britain".
They
recited poems and sang Christmas songs as well as performed some scenes
from the history of Christmas.
All the pupils had a lot of fun!

ноября 2012 года в рамках семинара "Развитие
критического мышления учеников на уроках английского языка",
проведённого на кафедре иностранных языков Львовской ССЗШ № 45, я подготовила доклад "Использование мультимедийный
технологий для развития критического мышления учеников на уроках английского
языка", а также провела открытый урок
по английскому языку "Средства массовой
информации. Реклама. Рекламные слоганы." в 11-А классе.
Учащиеся обсудили
прочитанный и прослушанный тексты о средствах массовой информации, высказав
свое мнение по данной теме; показали видео фрагменты своей любимой рекламы,
объяснив, почему они их выбрали, а также выполнили ряд заданий, используя MulitRom.

Competition - Конкурс
Twenty-one pupils of forms 4A, 4G, 7V and 11A participated in the cooperative writing project "A Day in the Life of Ukraine 3". They wrote their stories and poems about one day in their lives.

The Project
The
concept of A Day in the Life of Ukraine is very simple.
On December 13, 2011, people who were in Ukraine wrote about their lives.
On May 5, 2012, they did it again!
On both occasions, these pieces of writing were shared, allowing people in Ukraine and abroad insight into the rich social landscape that makes up this country.
This fall, we will continue the project: November 1, 2012 will be the third ‘Day in the Life of Ukraine’.
It is our hope that this project will encourage greater understanding of what it means to live in Ukraine today, both among Ukrainians and among all those seeking a greater global understanding. Ukraine is a country full of differences, but the celebration of these differences also allows the opportunity for shared strength.

Get Involved!
If you are
in Ukraine on November 1, 2012, you are invited to participate. Ukrainians,
foreign citizens, children, adults… all are welcome!
- On November 1, 2012, write a piece that shares your experience of that day. The writing must be in English, true, and your original work. However, this piece of writing may take any form– an essay, a poem, a letter, whatever.
- Submit your piece by November 8, 2012, following the SPECIFICS instructions below, to adayinthelifeofukraine@gmail.com.
- The best pieces will be published and shared, and authors will receive electronic certificates.

Лето, ах лето ...
Наступило лето и принесло с собой много интересного. Прежде всего, это чемпионат Европы по футболу 2012.
Львов стал одним из городов Украины, который принимает ЕВРО 2012, поэтому в наш город приехало много гостей.
Внимание: ученики 11-А класса!
Хотелось бы, чтобы вы не забыли включить наиболее интересные моменты этого праздника спорта, как часть своей первой творческой работы 2012 - 2013 учебного года - 2-х минутный видео фильм "Как я провёл лето" (если вы, конечно, посещали спортивные и культурные мероприятия во время проведения чемпионата Европы по футболу 2012).
Надеюсь, мы с интересом посмотрим ваши творческие работы в сентябре.

The Results of the Competition of Video Projects "Welcome to Ukraine" - Результаты конкурса видео проектов "Добро пожаловать в Украину"
17.05.2012 состоялась церемония награждения победителей и участников конкурса видео проектов "Добро пожаловать в Украину", который проводился представительством международной образовательной группы Pearson Education в 2011 - 2012 учебном году. В конкурсе приняло участие 174 участника с 47 видео проектами. Номинантами конкурса стали 10 проектов из Львова, Киева, Харькова и Одессы. К сожалению, наши 4 работы учеников 10-А класса не были среди номинантов, но все 12 учеников получили сертификаты участников конкурса.
An award ceremony of the winners and the participants of the competition of video projects "Welcome to Ukraine" took place on May 17, 2012. The competition was held by the representative of the International Educational Group "Pearson Education".
One hundred and seventy-four participants with 47 video projects took part in the competition; ten video projects from Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Odessa became the nominees of the competition.
Unfortunately, four our video projects of students of Form 10A were not among the nominees, but all twelve students received the certificates of the participants.

The Competition of Translators "Lviv European" - Конкурс переводчиков "Львов Европейский"
В конкурсе переводчиков "Львов Европейский" переводческой компании "Лингвистический центр" приняли участие 16 учеников 10-А и 6-Б классов. Конкурс проходил в два этапа - в апреле и мае 2012 года. Финалистами конкурса стали: Рущак Валентина (10-А), Гончарук Анастасия (10-А), Жидких Павел (10-А), Ткаченко Андрей (6-Б), Гольцов Максим (6-Б), Николаева Александра (6-Б), Козак Соломон (6-Б). Поздравляем! Остальные участники получили сертификаты участников.
Participation of 16 students of Forms 10A and 6B in the competition of translators "Lviv European" held by Lviv Linguistic Centre - April - May 2012. Seven students became the finalists of the competition.

The ABC Party
The ABC Party was held in Form 1 V on April 23, 2012. The children recited poems, sang songs and performed in the play "Three Little Pigs". Pupils' parents and teachers were present at the party.

A team of my students (Form 10A) took part in the Frankivsky district competition of students' projects on the "Intel. Teach to the Future" programme with the Multimedia presentation "Street Art in Lviv" 26.03.2012. They won the first place.

A Competition of Video Projects "Welcome to Ukraine" - Конкурс видео проектов "Добро пожаловать в Украину"
My students of form 10A took part in the competition of video projects "Welcome to Ukraine" with four video projects about Lviv. The competition was held in February - March, 2012 by Pearson Education and was devoted to the European Football Championship EURO 2012.
Ученики 10-А класса принимали участие в конкурсе видео проектов "Добро пожаловать в Украину", посвящённого европейскому чемпионату по футболу ЕВРО 2012. Конкурс проводился британским издательством Pearson Education в феврале - марте 2012 года.
